The following list is links to information about special benefits relevant to COVID-19 pandemic to be provided by local governments in Japan.

Fukuoka City

Notice of subvention (under consideration)

For small and medium-sized enterprises that closed their businesses temporarily or reduced their operating hours (as for restaurants, also being requested to refrain from offering alcoholic beverages after 7 p.m.) in compliance with the requests from the prefecture, it provides such enterprises with 80% of the amount of rent for business facilities up to 500,000 yen per the enterprise.

Saga Prefecture

Nagasaki Prefecture

Notice of subvention

  • 200,000 yen, or 100,000 yen additional if having plural business facilities, per small or medium-sized enterprise that closed its business temporarily or reduced its operating hours in compliance with the requests from the prefecture
  • 100,000 yen, or 100,000 yen additional if having plural business facilities, per sole proprietor that closed its business temporarily or reduced its operating hours in compliance with the requests from the prefecture

Okinawa Prefecture

Outline of subvention (pdf file)

  • 100,000 yen per small or medium-sized enterprise including sole proprietor that operates restaurant and whose sales amount decreased in any month of February through May of 2020 from the same month the year before (or sales amount in April or May of 2020 decreased from previous months, if the enterprise was establised within a year) , but it is not requested to close its business temporarily by the declaration of a state of emergency
  • 200,000 yen per business operator that closed its business temporarily in compliance with the requests from the prefecture
